Re: A Stumper

Why do you even still link to instapundit? I believe you told the last person (last I remember anyway) to read the mouseover text, but seriously, why?

I'd never noticed the mouseover texts on your blogroll before...

Some of the blogroll links were put there by Unf, and I don't touch those; Insty's one of them.

Apparently Edwards didn't remember he'd met Cheney, either - or else he would have brought it up.

"It reminds The Blogspirator of a 15 year old girl sniffing about the High School football Captain, "I guess he forgot about the time three years ago when he sat next to me on the bus!" It conveys that they aren't even in the same league."

So, Edwards sniffed about being forgotten by not bringing it up? Give it a rest, friend. Cheney said something that wasn't true.

I am enjoying seeing the people who think that a meeting that didn't happen in Prague and a guy holing up in a part of the country not controlled by Saddam constitute Iraqi/al Qaeda "ties" trying to explain how shaking hands and addressing someone by name doesn't constitute "meeting."

In the face of video, photographs and repeated reports of meetings between Cheney and Edwards, the stories that report that they had previously met are clear evidence of liberal bias. Please cancel my subscription.

Cheney: "Now, in my capacity as vice president, I am the president of Senate, the presiding officer. I'm up in the Senate most Tuesdays when they're in session. The first time I ever met you was when you walked on the stage tonight."

Okay, we know they met earlier than that, but that isn't the funniest part of this story. Some enterprising googlers went and found the records of who presided over Senate sessions during the past four years. During his tenure as Vice-President, Cheney has presided over the Senate exactly twice: November 12th, 2002 and January 7th, 2003. I suppose it all comes down to your definitions of the words I'm, in, Senate, most, and Tuesdays.

But wait! Guess who else has acted as presiding officer over the Senate twice in the past four years? John Edwards, on October 16, 2001 and March 5, 2002. I mean, really, you couldn't make this stuff up if you tried.

That site pointed to by instapundit is insane.

1.They aren't in the same picture.

2.Just because the are in the same picture doesn't mean they met.

3. Just because there is a video of them shaking hands doesn't mean they met when Chenney provided over the senate.

4. Just because there is a video of them shaking hands doesn't mean they met when Chenney was at the senate building (meeting with republicans).

Well done Adam, you have shown you can 'cut and paste' from a link- is this as good a 'critique' as it gets with you ?

Honestly, why are some people so dumb as to think we have to read the same rubbish twice ?
