interesting idea, and I think the post is meant to answer itself-- the religious right's is an identity-giving affiliation. One good example of the retreat into deeper wackiness is the current "controversy" over whether there's some sort of oppression of those who keep Christmas. About which I say "Happy Holidays, folks."

it's human nature

someone could easily make those same comments about this blog it's sort of a cultish internet chit chat club with it's own members and it's own identity but it's fun

my approach to the religious right which includes my entire birth family is to quietly enjoy the fact that i'm not one of them

then there's those times when i wish i would have been quiet
