you'd think so. actually, I had champagne brunch at the fullerton and no dinner at all, so it amounts to the same thing. mmm, lobsters, roast beef, cheese, smoked salmon, sashimi, and chocolate mousse. and champagne.

Happy belated Mother's Day!

Despite my handle I've never really had any good hallucinations. My most vivid one happened the night after I had neck surgery. I woke up and felt an electric jolt down my spine and was paralyzed from the neck down. It scared the crap out of me, but was an hallucination. It sure seemed real though.

I like dreams. Amazing, that your mind could construct those worlds, entirely.

Christ, I bought drugs at that very spot, too.

Maybe I'm way too provincial, and it has been sometime in the past, but I never stood in line to buy drugs. Most deals took place in the darkened corner of someone's house or car.

I was totally impressed with your Courtney Love dream until you revealed this had some grounding in reality. ;-p No fair! Anyone can have such crazy dreams if they have such an interesting life! :-)

I never stood in line to buy drugs.

I have, but only at Grateful Dead shows.

Apropos of nothing, but god I hate Evan Dando.

And the lemonhead he rode in on.

He and Ms. Love deserve each other.

What Mitch said about Evan, but somehow I'd like to think there is salvation for Ms. Love, someway somehow.

And for those of us who lived in the East Village back in the day, (Ah, the Wa Wa Hut), this was actually a more serious issue. Trashed rock stars and others sleeping it off on our stoops, well, they just smell bad. And the business community that you were patronizing wasn't always the most community regarding. I used to come home from a late nite of research and pick up a cup of coffee for myself and one for the dealer who worked my stoop. I figured it was important to have good relationships with the local business community. And it gave me an opening to ask him to find some other place to pee than our doorway. Memories.

And did you mean carving or calving? Because the idea of glacial birth is totally cool.

Glaciers calve, which is very cool indeed.
