That was on a Futurama episode- Fry ends up with 4.3 billion dollars from an account where he left 93 cents 1000 years ago because of compound interest.

I prefer the magic of compound inflation- you may have 5 billion when you wake up, but the procedure to revive you cost 15 billion.
