Re: No Lights Here

Of course she ignored her partner, what does he count when a *camera* is there! She's a media-whore, not a plain old whore.

What tape?

I'm so out of the loop.

But I did see that famous socialite C.Z. Guest died over the weekend. She never made a sex tape and nobody ever called her a "chick." Not endorsing the principle of hereditary oligarchy here, but if we as a a society support a system that leads to famous wealthy heiresses, don't those heiresses owe us a bit of style and glamour in exchange?

I'm just asking.

You are old fashioned, aren't you? Style and glamour vs. sex tapes. How do you think people would prefer their wealthy heiresses to discharge their obligations?

If we're going to abolish the inheritance tax, I'd much prefer to see heirs and heiresses like Paris Hilton who'll blow the money partying, then OD before they're thirty, than see it in the hands of people like Bill Ford or James Murdoch who seem to feel their name qualifies them to run large companies, let alone in the hands of a Mellon or a Scaife or an Olin.

Did you really just jump from the Paris Hilton sex tape to Richard Mellon Scaife in twenty words? Hats off, Maynard!
