Re: Guest Post - Alternate Reality

This is worth clicking through. As in, it's a quick read on a non-flashy website that makes its point loud and clear.

You must use English in a different way than I do.

Well, it's quick to get the point, at least.

Don't blame me if you get infected from visiting that site. The FPPs are responsible for ensuring the cleanliness of all submitted links.

I hope the alternate reality has something really cool (steampunk zeppelins, for instance) to make up for the fact that they apparently don't have any funny jokes.

We've provided multiple sanitizer dispensers around the office for your neurotic convenience.

It's not neurotic unless you use your elbow to work the pump on the dispenser.

I clicked through and closed the tab after four lines of dumbfuckery. I assume it gets really racist pretty soon after that.

Oh dear, it seems to be the site of these tools which explains the quality of the "joke".

Am I the only person who appreciated the irony in Heebie's post?

Also, I was able to enjoy the comments because they were self-evidently ridiculous. No formatting at all (as in, names of comments in the same font as text before and after), and the first one was spam for some kind of pyramid scheme. I'm not sure how much of that was the commenters' idiocy, the Web site's designer's idiocy, my computer's filters, or just good timing, but it's hard to get too worked up about stuff like that.

The punchline, such as it was, was executed better on the Simpsons, here.

I have RW "friends" who often insist to me on FB that one or another of these scandals are "under investigation!!1!!1!" right now!

I've never see them all piled together like this, though. Wow.
