you're right, he's annoying on that clip. But i'm pretty sure he's being intentionally annoying. I don't entirely understand what you're getting at in your post.
Mainly this is weird (weird enough to merit a comment from me) because I went to high school with Sam, and because much later, I lived next door to his best friend, and because i remember when he was a funny, scrawny little 13 year old singing at folk festivals and contradancing with me in cold vermont barns.

Huh, cool. I just mean that there are so many forgettable clips of young people being goofy/annoying and occasionally picking up a guitar and strumming away, and several of his clips are just like that and then wham! suddenly there's a clip in there that actually blows you away.
