Re: A challenge

I was thinking the other day that "Lady Dada" would be a great drag name.

This seems as good a thread as any to make a Latin request of the commentariat.

A coworker has asked me to draw a tattoo for her, which is sometimes I occasionally do, and she wants a nice script version of a Latin motto, "Luctor et emergo". She seems to believe it means, basically, "I struggle and I emerge", but I wanted to double-check the conjugation on that first verb before, you know, she has it permanently tattooed onto her damn body.

Classicists?

If she drives on I-95 much, she should get "I struggle, then I merge."

I think I won't mention Zeeland's dykes to my coworker/client.
