Re: Southwestern Northern-Virginia Meetup

Um, to kick things off and vaguely food-related: I just heard a barista call out the drink, "Grande skim macchiato, wet, for the house." Apparently, this means less foamy, or so I was informed.

A 'wet cappuccino' is exactly the same as a 'dry latte.'

2: I'm not sure I trust you on this one, given your uncertainty about what beer being "hoppy" meant.

What kind of place is Mas? There is a no-accent-a Mas in NYC that is French (mas meaning a certain sort of Provence-typical farmhouse).

5: Spanish tapas. They definitely wanted "more" and ended up with an antiquated form of "but".

5: The farmer who owns a 'mas' is called 'masover' in Catalonia.

Will's kids are super rad, but there are some downsides to meeting on Saturday: Mas will be (possibly really, really) crowded, and I can't be there before 8pm.

We could do both!

no accent on the "a"; don't get me started on that one

It's enough to make one shout "No más!"

If Mas is crowded, the fire marshal might stand out side shouting "No más!"

I kind of hope there's a local lurker named Thor; that way, this thread is totally Mas-Thor-baiting.

I hope that Lily and Lionel know to ask "who wants to sex Mutumbo?"

Stanley, we are old so we just had to google GGG. BR wants to know if you are suggesting that she is a German porn girl. (Bc she is game!)

Restaurants that serve heaven's sake do.

I dunno. If you served heaven's sake, you could probably get away with not serving anything else, and then you wouldn't need a menu.

Of all the forms of alcohol, I wouldn't have picked sake as the heavenly one.
