6: I certainly think so. I had thought it was a generational thing, noting that a lot of older cow-orkers search for things such "what are the possible zip codes in Detroit?" rather than "zip code" "Detroit" or something like that, but it seems to be fairly common among younger people, too.

I know that, Stanners, but "No soap, radio" wouldn't have served as a general-purpose answer the way "No, soap radio" does.

Presumably because "No" works with anything, whereas "No soap" would induce the listener to spend mental effort trying to link "soap" into the prior discussion which isn't really all that humorous. In addition you have the added absurdity of "soap radio" being the correction rather than merely the bland "radio". Very clever. How's that working out for you?
