Is each pancake unlimited or just the number of pancakes?

There's just no way the Great Apes could mount a successful revolution. There are just too few of them left, no matter how powerful and fiercely intelligent they are.

I here Dallas does roasted meat well, I think it might be time to at least place them on the carving board to let the juices distribute properly, then dig in.

If there is an unlimited pancake, I think that means the universe is ever expanding. So Denny's has just saved a shit-ton of astronomy work.

Heh. This reminds me that yesterday I was behind a car with the license plate IAM4NCST, and for some reason NC State didn't register for a few seconds. I was very surprised that somebody was expressing their support for incest so publicly.

Ooh, a Corona ad! How come Corona doesn't exploit in advertising the fact that their beer, upon being opened, smells like weed? Because, um, I've heard it does.

Can't believe they didn't use their foul as soon as Dirk got the ball. If the heroes are not being heroic, Miami has nothing on offense at the end of games.

Fuck me.

I turned off the game when the Mavs were down 15 and missed the entire comeback.

This is a humiliation, a total slapdown of one punky Miami team. This is incredible, I thought James and Wade had at least a tiny bit more character, class, and championship quality than those kids in Oklahoma. So I turned off the game.

But no, they lost a 15-point fourth quarter lead at home in the finals. Complete bums.

22: Not embarrassed. But it's not a very good beer on my gusty bus.

23: Bums? I don't know. Miami's flashy when they're hot. Dallas seems more methodical. That comeback seemed to happen when no one was even paying attention.

Fucking computer crashed halfway through the fourth, by the time I let it cool down and load everything back up again, the game is over. It would be ok if it had ended with the 8-12 Miami win it was looking like it was going to be, but instead the Mavs staged a great comeback. Fucking computers.

Me too. I didn't find out that they won until this morning.

If the Mavs win I want a motivational poster with a picture of Dirk with his knee up hitting the fallaway jump shot over Collison (not the most crucial basket of the playoffs, but a remarkable one), with the words "Don't Panic."

Not going back to link, but there is a terrific column with diagrams at I think NBA.com explaining that at the 7 minute huddle, Carlisle came up with a new offensive plan. Miami had been pressing and doubling Kidd and Terry, causing turnovers.

Carlisle came up with staggered picks by Nowitzki and Chandler out past the three point line, leaving no room for the Miami defenders to keep up with the Dallas guards. Of course you usually switch, but Miami doesn't want Bosh on Terry etc. This play just confused the hell out of Miami, and Dallas scored 4/5 times with it.

So, Miami also got outcoached.

Magic Johnson & the guys were really concerned late last night, this is the kind of loss that just breaks teams. Scares teams, makes them self-conscious and hesitant tight unrelaxed always wondering and worrying. I saw this break the Lakers and OKC. Not even saying Dallas is gonna win Sunday, we'll see. Just sayin'.

Honestly I still don't feel good about Dallas's chances in the series.

But, given my prediction for the Lakers series, you can hope that my lack of confidence is a good sign.

Due to other commitments, I just watched this fantastic game on the DVR, and, remarkably, succeeded in avoiding learning of the outcome for three days. Rick Carlisle is an incredible coach; first time in a long time I can recall a major NBA game so clearly won by coaching, though I'm probably forgetting something obvious. He coached spectacularly well in the LA series too, of course. On to the next one.

It's kinda nice to watch these games without the panic attacks and emotional overinvestment, but not that nice.

If you were a Warriors fan, you could feel like this every year. In between wondering why you were still a fan of a terrible team.
