Will you still blog here when you make the big time? Or just drop by for the occasional pun?

3: Ha! No, but seriously. We're not working with Big Pun.

Can't wait to hear it. I have a short album I want to record, but my band hasn't had all four members in the same room since my bass player had a baby. Not even for brunch.

I think one of my fatal errors was switching from Pro Tools to Logic -- it wasn't a huge investment as I got a free copy of Logic, but then I went and bought gear that wouldn't work with Pro Tools. Logic's just so much more difficult than Pro Tools, and I think I was at the peak of my Staying Up All Night Noodling powers during my Pro Tools run.

It's funny how crucial that can be. I used to record with a free (because old) version of one of the Cakewalk products that came with a magazine. Even though, or perhaps because, it was so simple and pared back I used to be able to record so quickly and easily. These days, not at all.

Good luck with the recordings, Stanley!

In other music news, the cover band I play with might do "Sexy and I Know It". I can't decide if this song is awesomely ridiculous or just terrible.

10: Is it two things: both awesomely ridiculous and terrible? Boy howdy that video was mesmerizing. Regardless, this could make a really great cover, especially if you rip your pants off part way through!

10 might be the best video linked from here since the Die Antwoord "Zef Side" Dark Side of the Moon shorts video.

10: Val and Alex are obsessed with that song and aren't allowed to sing it at their parents' house so they always bother me about it. Is "ooh, look at that body?" acceptible? Is heebie's favorite line "I work out!" ok? Invariably this leads to Alex singing "I'M SEXY AND I KNOW IT!" because he has no impulse control and then I have to worry about whether I care enough to tell him he's not supposed to because blah blah consistency blah.

If Stanley is the new drummer, after they make it big, he becomes "the Ringo of ****."

* '***' is the name of his band. * is just to mark the note.

15: On previous recordings, the person who's still the lead singer recorded all the drum parts, so it's a bit different, I'd hope.

I have been advised to point out that the video linked in 10 is not necessarily SFW.

I've been writing the way your old bands recorded, and it's having a similar effect.

Also, that video is faaabulous. This should've been the superbowl half time show.
