Two ideas, both a little north of UT (so a few miles north of St. E's).
Spiderhouse. If it's not too hot (and it generally isn't by the evening) it's a great place to sit outside for a drink. If we want to get dinner, there are two places next door -- good Texas BBQ (and veggie sides) and Taco Shack, "Home of the Shack Taco."
Salvation. Great pizza, inside or outside tables.
Plenty of other options further south, closer for you and heebie.
So is a Shack Taco is a taco the size of a shanty or a poorly spelled homage to a retired basketball player?

I am helping someone move Thursday, but should be free by the evening and would be happy to finally meet the Austin Unfoggeders and visitors.
