It's impressive as an example of defining the discourse that when a series of white survivalist types kill cops, they're lone nuts (and senator-elect Jodi Ernst can fantisize about shooting cops when they come for her guns without making a ripple) but when a black wife-murderer from Baltimore kills two NYPD cops it is an example of Mayor Huey diBlasio's call to off the pigs.
With any murder case, we can tell that someone is trying to turn it into some sort of overblown political issue when news stories start containing the word "execution-style".

From what I understand, it was much closer to assassination style than execution style.
