Hi little stuck in the middle, Jan Brady thread.
So these two kids were both students at my son's high school (which is currently on spring break). We're getting ready to put our house on the market and we looked at the house they found her body behind a couple of weeks ago, but it was already under contract a few days later.
That summary mentions how companies have lobbied against student privacy legislation, but doesn't really get into how ed tech companies apparently make money off of the student data they collect, which I assume is marketing related.
