A good rapper is a rare delight, but the emphasis is on "rare"; 99% of rappers shouldn't rap, irrespective of ethnicity.

I've got a couple dozen lines of the Masnevi committed to memory in Persian. After seeing that I can't help hearing it in my head as rap. Rumi is dead to me now.

Portly Albanians are all good, though. This song has lodged itself in my head so very firmly.

A good rapper is a rare delight, but the emphasis is on "rare";

I was talking to Hawaii and Pokey about how to handle adults who are demanding complete submission at the exact moment when everything seems most unfair, and I told Pokey, "This kind of thing is even more likely in elementary school. Hawaii, you see this sort of thing?"
She said, "At my school, it's pretty rare."
I said, "Really? That's great!"
She said, "Wait. What does 'rare' mean?"
I said, "Almost never."
She said, "Oh, I meant the opposite of that. It happens all the time."

Funny/not-funny!

I was going to agree that this was uniquely awful, but then I realized New Order was playing in another tab. Sans New Order, he's not that bad.

"Rapture" came on the radio the other day and the rapping bit, skillz-wise, is so so so terrible, and yet I love it anyway. Because I am eating bars.
