Hey guys, I just got an invitation to this event!

"This Friday, all your libertarian dreams might just come true! Join Reason.com Editor-in-Chief N/ick Gi/llespie for happy hour and lots of conversation at Reason's Los Angeles headquarters. In fact, we're so excited to see Nick here in the City of Angels that we'll make it TWO full hours of happy--plenty of time to discuss populism and weird hair in presidential politics, the war on freedom of speech on college campuses, the infamous subpoena fiasco of 2015, and wherever else the conversation takes us."

Maybe dreams really can come true.

I'm about to hit send on an email to someone I really like and have been getting to know over the past couple of weeks and I just know that once I do I'm going to agonize over whether I should have sent it or whether I should have said this or that or whatever until the very moment I see she's replied which I'm sure will not be for a few days at least. It's just me being stupid so I thought I'd just flag my stupidity beforehand. Also probably nothing will come of it anyway so double stupidity on me.

As long as you have a sig file with a quote from Captain Picard, I don't see what can go wrong.

Just get really drunk first. Even if you do remember sending it you'll be able to tell yourself you had an excuse. Maybe also you'll be able to tell the other person, but really telling yourself the excuse is the key.

I have no booze in the house. You have to get a license to get alcohol here and I haven't done that yet. I need to get my driver's license first. (That isn't as reckless as it sounds.)

I am not putting this forward as a complete solution by any means, but in matters of the heart sometimes it is helpful to tell yourself a story about being more sophisticated, carefree, confident and/or emotionally mature than you feel yourself to be. Then live that story, even if only in short fleeting stints. It's a sort of exercise, like romantic gym.

To go back to the OP, because we're not to comment 40 yet, if you must date and impregnate a teenager, don't use a plantation theme for the family photo.

19 & 21: Yeah. Unless small children are gonna be hurt, every once in a while it's good to blow one's entire previous life to hell and gone and see what happens next. You're gonna die sooner or later no matter what, it's better to do so during an adventure.

I have video of Joe dancing the chicken dance with my son at my brother's wedding. Joe was there with my brother's wife's friend. They dated off and on.

Smart and hardworking. But, wow, he puts himself in horrible situations.

Barry, the pickups are Lollar Imperials, which I very much hope can be made to sound all different kinds of sweet with the coil tap wiring that's already in there. I'm not really in Hitler's camp but this seems like a promising mod. We can send pics!

I've started practicing on weekends with an old friend on drums, but we really need to find a bass player of taste who's up for practices in the East Bay, and I'm afraid of asking Craigslist. I don't suppose anyone knows anyone? The sound is slightly "Spoon" and slightly "Blur in the late-nineties noisy phase," just to mark out a quadrant.
