I guess it is wasn't really a thing at the time. But I really wish there were a musical episode of Law and Order in the Jerry Orbach/Jesse Martin era.

It's interesting the way that shooting L&O in New York meant that you have a different casting pool. TV and Movie actors live in LA, so L&O's cast was often people who came from the stage (musical theater like Orbach and Martin, or drama like Waterston and Merkerson) or modeling.

Jerry Orbach is an important person in my stepdaughter's pantheon, because he is the voice of her beloved, Lumiere.
