So, the point of this article is that the Stein excerpt would actually make a good essay, and that if you assigned some expository writing assignment to a student, a response in that style would be perfectly acceptable and even desirable? Is this article something other than an opportunity for Atlantic readers to feel superior to those morons writing the SAT without actually thinking about how to assess the writing and argumentative skills of students?
