Re: Crazy people

Self-plagiarizing from the other place, the ideal scenario is that Ivana Trump and Wendy Deng Murdoch are trading tips on how to bring down powerful men. (The fall of Ailes? Think about it!)

Poll jabber: what it looks like to me from the poll curves is that Clinton did have a convention bounce but it is only fading a bit so far, still leaving her in a pretty good place, and her lead remains high because Trump is hemorrhaging support as less frequent voters start actually paying attention. (Unskewer-schadenfreude.)

Finally, Billy West's clips of Zapp/Trump are wonderful.

Can I just say? Mad props to Wendi Deng for finding a way to climb upwards after Murdoch. I mean, both Murdoch and Deng have done well for themselves after their marriage ended, but I really couldn't imagine where Deng would go after, and she totally stuck a spectacular landing.

Betsy McCaughey is the type specimen of the bullshit artist. Absolutely outstanding at it in a way that leaves mere pikers like Limbaugh or Fiorina in the dust.

"What if one day something horrible escaped into the sewer system?"

You laugh, but the NYC sewers are full of fetuses that people flushed that are now 12 to 15 feet long and feed on unsuspecting people passed out in gutters and alleys. It isn't crazy to fear the chudbabies.

If you swim in a sewer where someone aborted an eye-baby, then you get conjunctivitis.

The reassuring truth is that the only way you can get pink eye is by fecal contamination.

Is there any basis for 2? I know that shitty papers have printed that rumors exist. But for example, factual reports that the putative couple is in the same city often, do these exist?

I dispute that RM has done well for himself. His attempts to establish his kids as successors have failed, and he presumably has to attend meetings he'd rather skip as a consequence of having put Jabba the Hut in charge of geriatric america's television for a decade. Better than Madoff, I guess, since no suicides among his kids yet.

Oh wait-- one of his sons' wives works for the Clinton Climate Initiative, huh. How have the WSJ's editorial pages been treating DJT?

Girlfriend, not daughter.

I only meant in their post-divorce relationships, and happily acknowledge Murdoch's recent problems with his American TV station.

Yeah, I searched after I typed and was sad to see that the Deng-Putin relationship is probably just gossip. Still! It was fantastic gossip.

12 - what are you talking about. The Murdoch jrs have been doing just fine with Fox. They're also not particularly politically conservative so their basic takeover is definitely a net plus for the world.
