Also, you're not supposed to say that when you were just in court, you're supposed to say it before.

Uh I guess maybe that was the point of the post.

Very glad the 9th Circuit panel was able to rule unanimously. I don't know why Trump still seems to believe he has a strong case. DOJ has got to be thinking about regrouping and trying to build a better record in Judge Robart's court before they try the Supremes, but it will be interesting to see if they can get the genius in the White House to consider any strategy more subtle than Hulk Smash.

If this is real I might have to watch SNL in real time for the first time in years.

The right's hatred for Rosie O'Donnell is hilarious. She's just about the most harmless person on the planet and they can't get enough of hating her. I assume it has to do with her stance on guns, but the hatred is out of all proportion.

These really have to be glory days for comedy writers. You can now make jokes about the Secretary of Education, and have people get them. The Onion had to invent a fictional Biden in order to have something to make jokes about.

Does it actually makes things easier or harder? Like being a baker when somebody keeps throwing bread at passersby.

For instance:

"Ken Starr, the former Baylor University president who was ousted last year amid the school's sexual assault scandal and is best known for investigating the sexual activities of President Bill Clinton, is reportedly being considered to lead the Office of International Religious Freedom in the Trump administration," the Dallas Morning News reports.

I m attempting to adopt a posture of wearied knowing acceptance of the insipid and mundane evil of the world. He's actually a perfect fit; I see some opportunities for him deploying his trademark rape and sexual abuse apologetics with a stultifying air of moral superiority.

These really have to be glory days for comedy writers.

I like Samantha Bee's response to that.

"And please don't even think of writing something stupid like, 'what a lucky break a Trump presidency is for comedians. The jokes just write themselves.' Jokes don't write themselves. Jews write jokes and they are scared shitless. Believe it or not this isn't a great day to be part of 'the most diverse staff on late night.'"

But Jews write jokes to cope with anxiety. Now that they're twice as anxious, they can write twice as many jokes.

Plus the sheer number of easily caricaturized people in the Trump administration is surreal. I've never seen anything like it, and I remember when James Watt was Secretary of the Interior.

Elliot Abrams punished for the only decent thing he has done in his life.

President Donald Trump met with Abrams and the sources said that the meeting went well but when the President learned that Abrams had criticized him during the campaign, the President nixed Abrams as Deputy Secretary of State, according to the sources.

I still remember Dave Barry's joke about Watt's wanting to legalize hunting of Native Americans for sport. With Trump, that kind of thing isn't just a joke.

I don't know why Trump still seems to believe he has a strong case.

Because his beliefs are based solely on his beliefs.

He said they'll have a new order next week- I'm guessing they rescind the old order, put out something new with a little more gloss on the pig, and begin enforcing it immediately, restarting the whole process and generally fucking things up more for immigrants (which is the point.)
