I'm fifty and have receding gums. Thanks for asking.

I'm seventy and my hair is entirely grey, but my gums seem to be fine.

I look fine for my age. At passport control the officer gave me a double take and said I don't look like I'm turning eleventy-one this winter. You can't tip ICE, though.

I started a new job recently and feel with some distress that meeting new people is become largely a matter of meeting the same old people with different names. I blame cancel culture.

I find that I like meeting new people more now that I'm supervising them.

They're mostly all super conscientious, so I don't have to chase them around much, I get to be advisory and benevolent, and defend them against our wacky client agencies.

Maybe an Afghanistan thread...? My thoughts are pretty grim and, if you indulge me on this one request, I'll happily refrain from sharing them. (I will be quietly pleased if you entitle the post "Bernie Would Of Beat The Taliban," though. Not that you should, I mean, this is serious.)

Sorry, last line not meant to be sarcastic, but my ability to control sarcasm is apparently shot. The whole situation is a waking nightmare. Biden speaks in an hour or so, right?

War is bad. Anyone who wants to prolong a war should provide an argument superior to anything the right wing has had 20 years to come up with.

"Bernie Would Of Beat The Taliban"

Is "would of" part of the charm?

16: There was a commenter who typed "Bernie would of won" at least once and "would of" a few other times, and it has remained stuck in my head like that as a trope of stubbornness.

14: I sincerely have no predictions about the actual cessation of violence in Afghanistan, as of right now.

Got my third vaccine this weekend! Got in so soon that CVS hadn't yet trained its employees in proper data entry for third vaccines. My third vaccination, like my third sexual , was not a particularly memorable experience.

FWIW, at least at CVS, you have to check a box to say you are immunocompromised (which I am) but need not present any evidence supporting the assertion.

He also had a third booster, although I assume not in response to the positive test?
You have to assume that he's at higher risk than average with his comorbidities.

Vice versa. She wants him, at least if the narrator of the song is reliable.

I said the song was touching, not that the guy she's singing about shouldn't be legally required to tell everyone he dates that he took all of the good parts of his personality from his ex.
