We are working on switching fiscal sponsors so we can get larger grants and stop scrounging amongst our friends twice a year, but that process is turning out to be not very speedy. I appreciate all of you so much!
This particular round of fundraising is aimed at subsidizing travel and housing: (1) to help more families get to Missoula for events and (2) to get some of out-of-state professionals here for a visit.
I have started a campaign of convincing qualified deaf-kid experts (audiologists, speech-language pathologists, psychologists, etc) from out of state to get licensed in Montana, because among other things we are a resource desert with zero of any of the listed professionals who know ASL or are trained to work with deaf children. So far 2 of them have succeeded! They can do teletherapy now, but would need to visit in person for some of the more important evaluations.
As soon as I have something to put it on, I am going to make a "Sponsored by Unfogged" plaque- this crew has provided so much support for me! You guys are the best. (but don't stop now)
