My wife tested positive for covid this morning so plans to hit two family Thanksgivings this weekend are trashed.
I just went out to buy an emergency turkey breast. But turkey breasts cost $17 and they had a whole turkey for sale for $7, so now there is an entire discount bird in my oven.
Also bought some covid tests. What a massive policy failure that they cost $10 each.

Yeah, Hannefords at least. There are some convenience stores that might sell a turkey but not the ones here in the big city.

My mother sadly continues positive for COVID so could not make it to the gathering. But Dad, brother, SIL, baby niece, & aunt are all together. And Mom was there to support her close friend who passed away yesterday after a fairly quick-acting cancer.
