I have heard a couple of interviews with this guy -- pretty sure there's a long This American Life piece featuring him -- and he is, simply, almost too good to believe. Absolutely a candidate for secular sainthood.
The fact that he has so often succeeded in this nigh-impossible feat just makes you shake your head. More human value in this guy than 20 yacht-fulls of billionaires.

I watched a documentary about him; very impressive.
It has to scale: submersible, Concorde, yacht, Davos.
