Re: Daryl Davies

I have heard a couple of interviews with this guy -- pretty sure there's a long This American Life piece featuring him -- and he is, simply, almost too good to believe. Absolutely a candidate for secular sainthood.

The fact that he has so often succeeded in this nigh-impossible feat just makes you shake your head. More human value in this guy than 20 yacht-fulls of billionaires.

Speaking of which, are there standardized volume units for disruptors and VC's?

I watched a documentary about him; very impressive.

It has to scale: submersible, Concorde, yacht, Davos.

If 20 years in these threads has shown anything, it's that I have a similar ability to patiently explain to people that they're misguided.

Also, that people who disagree with me are basically Klansmen.

Does your mom have any more pearls like the one about monks, toddlers and serenity? That one was quite good.

If that's "the right way", we're doomed. Can't possibly scale. (Also I worry someday he's going to be shot completely out of the blue.)

Short of shutting down Fox News and conservative talk radio, I think it's the only way.

So yeah: doomed.
