The nightmare of the Sony mobile phone put me off ever purchasing anything by Sony.
In England repairs to Sony products have been outsourced to what appears to be a troop of bonobo monkeys. They won't answer the phone, they won't fix your gear, they won't talk to Sony. I think they're in Wales, which might explain it. No, it's Slough, which does explain it.
