No replies, but those are all solid selections.
I really like Joel Patterson. I first came across him with the Four Charms, and I like all his solo stuff, including the Les Paul style multi-guitar things.
Green Mill's on the North side, near Wilson on the red line. Long way to go, but he plays every Monday there. He sticks to jazzy material there, but he'll play old blues too sometimes.
Al Capone was part-owner for a while, also one other building up north though he was basically a southsider. No real record of his having actually been there that I know of. The Sunday instrumental soul combo is pretty good too.
There's a tube organ, I think Hammond, you can see the tubes inside glow from a few tables. The place is a treasure imo.
lw does have good taste!
I've been lately enjoying Eilen Jewel's 2020 recording of "Summertime" -- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6-kXXbMzjTg
I love this video of a recent version of "Roseville Fair" (originally by Bill Staines who described it as, "a song about falling in love -- and staying in love") -- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BF7oBtRFBhA
If you want something less mellow I was recently introduced to Etta James cover of Randy Newman's "God's Song" and it's really good -- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GDzxnExnexE
My favorite discovery of the past year has been Coast Contra.
+1 for Etta's Gods Song. Great orchestration too.
There's a tube organ
Often, but sometimes it's just the way the fabric of the trousers drapes.
Are the tubes of an organ supposed to glow during safe operation?
Last year, Frowner and I were talking about the phenomenon of "works of popular culture that you think should have been much bigger hits, but for some reason weren't". My example was "Undercover" by the the Bongalis, which I believe is known and appreciated somewhat in Northern Soul circles, but nowhere near the extent it should be, in my opinion. I think it's right up there with "Green Onions" and "Time Is Tight".

Yes. Like, why has no-one told me about this fucking song.
