That's not the friendly tone you normally take around here, abc. And I'll note that it's just weird to regularly visit a blog, comment there, and tell the blogger to STFU.

Yeah, I'm sure Victor Davis Hanson is mighty proud that someone is spamming a totally unrelated thread with a link to his essay.

On-topic, sort of: if you ever see someone riding a bike with clipless pedals, but he's just wearing sneakers rather than the shoes with the special bindings, the bike is almost certainly stolen. (been wanting to pass the word on that ever since my dad's Trek got ripped off)

Ban me, I'm not hiding my IP.

Any site that even a tiny bit likes moveon.org while in any way spitting on the President is stupid and/or complicit.

My guess is both.

One request by the 'ment and I'm gone.

W has been a good leader, Kerry is an obscene science fiction horror.

Feel free to still piss on the President.

Now why would I ban our only haiku commenter?

What, exactly, has MoveOn done wrong (and please, not the Hitler ad canard, 'k?)?

Not so fast on the clipless pedals & stolen bikes. My commuter bike has been out of commission, like, forever, so I ride my regular mt bike on the short trip to work. You'll often see me going to & from work pedaling along on my shimano spd pedals.

WOrd to the wise: dress shoes with leather soles on spd's really do suck. Yes, this is kind of stupid, but I didn't steal the bike.

For a dress shoe, sir? Might I suggest LOOK Pedal CX-6, in Titanium?

If I have to leave it alone for a 60 second Gatorade stop, my bike is now safer if I leave lock off, strap my helmet through the back wheel, and put it in the hardest gear.

I'd like to thank bloggers all over the world, for ensuring that nasty, bike-stealing brats now have a step-by-step guide to picking the Kryptonite lock.

Yeah, it's not like the story's in the New York Times, and bike thieves never would have found out if not for evil blogs.
