Re: J'accuse!

Bush said Kerry's statements about Iraq "can embolden an enemy."

"Bring it on," on the other hand...

There's this blogospheric response from two days ago. Must keep up, sonny. ;-)

(Lots more recent posts below and above.)

The right side of the blogosphere is in quite a tizzy about Kerry and Lockhart's "disgraceful, appalling, shocking" comments about Allawi, incidentally. Lockhart must be fired! Kerry is "disgusting, shameful," etc., etc., etc. It's intentionally undermining our "alliances" for "partisan politics."

I suppose retroactively we should all go praise Ngo Diem, and his successors now, along with Somaza, the Shah, Ferdinand Marcos.... (Although fairness compels me to note that we really don't know how Allawi will work out; I don't think it would be fair to assume he's of the same ilk; I simply don't think that criticizing allies is verboten.)

Why do I have the magic power to comment and see comment cease? I try to use it for good, but mostly it's incredibly boring for me.

I'd much rather here how I'm all wrong and all right, and stuff, than live, along, abandoned, in a comment thread, scrabbling to find if thre's any food left, or cable tv, let alone internet access. It's lonely; so..so...so...lonely.

Ok, that one makes no sense to me.
