Generally speaking (not talking about your mother here at all), people suck. I think we just have to get over it.
They sure were sucking last night. Needy and self-absorbed. I suppose no one's at their best at Christmas dinner, but...oy.
Funny, I had the exact same revelation this christmas. Were you visited by some ghosts in the night too?
No ghosts for me--I think I was just looking for a way to decrease the unpleasantness of visiting home. Not sure it's worked yet; maybe when it sinks in in a few years.
