indeed, you could use "schtup" generally as a PG-13 version of the f-word (particularly as "the f-word" is itself somewhat cloying).
Can you really? You can't really say, "Oh schtup!" or "Schtup you!" And saying "They've been schtupping for a couple of weeks now" sounds even more vulgar than just saying "fucking."
Unless the person saying it has an adorable ashkenazic accent, and is elderly and of either gender, or middle-aged and female! Then it's appropriate for a prime-time sitcom.
