Garageband, maybe? I think, uh, someone I'm not sure I can name here anymore did something with Garageband that suggests it can do this. Or Fruityloops. What platform?

Hope you feel better soon. I've been sick all week, and it has not been fun.

yeah, garageband works, but you need these things called audacity and appleloops to import the little snippets you want. some person posted about it here:

http://examinedlife.typepad.com/johnbelle/2004/11/bleg.html

and got lotsa helpful responses. for mac users. if you use a PC, then I dunno.

Thank God such a helpful person exists. I will read that person's post, and benefit greatly. Also, I use a mac, for I am pure of heart.

"Questions: what computer goodies would I need to cut this up and turn it into some kind of acid jazz Kruder-Dorfmeister sort of thing?"

Clearly the person to ask is James Lileks?

:-)

Wow, audacity is cool. I've been looping the "my chiffon is wet" bit from Disco Tex's "get dancing!" and now it sounds like the sex-o-lettes are from Sheffield circa 1977. This is the awesomest.

Hey....Where can I get that sound clip? I could have a lot of fun with that with Ableton Live.
