Re: I Might Not Have Children, But I'm Never Alone

I suppose the fact that I honestly don't understand why someone would pretend to be multiple people in an online debate like that only confirms me as a liberal sack of shit.

Too earnest for the free play of the commenter. I don't get it either. I guess it can be fun to fuck with people, but it should be a bit of a challenge too.

Maybe it's an open computer in some medical facility somewhere, and Erin, Ari, Nicole, etc. were all jostling for the keyboard?

I like that image. I'd also like to think it was a bunch of adolescent siblings.

Mitch: In a sense they were. Must get crowded in that head.

Uhh.. I think I need to get off the comp. That was very silly of me. Goodnight all.

Given the references to the "4.0" GPA, might "they" not be a bunch of - dare I say it? - frat boys working off the same computer?

I would have expected greater satirical sophistication, had the commenters been frat boys.

That is weird. I just googled for my name, ah, nostalgia!

The imperialist lies

Amid fallen leaves

Re: 8: "greater satirical sophistication"

No, no, Ogged - real frat boys, the sort who regard a keg as a good start to a full breakfast, not the ones who have their martinis shaken by haughty bartenders in upmarket hotel lounges.

Ah see the confusion is because Asha is think of a frat house, and ogged is thinking of a frathaus.

Dammit! That first "think" should of course be "thinking".

I bet frathouse boys don't correct their typing errors.

I think I've seen posts startlingly similar both in style and content to the "4.0" GPA and I'm gonna be RIIIICH! one in other mommy blog threads that have been hijacked. I suspect the poster is very young and doesn't realise how silly their tripe sounds to anyone who has been an adult for a few years whether they be CF or parent. Whilst having children costs money and takes time, not having children is not a sure route to material or social success. In fact, one of the surest ways to success is to see life choices in risk management terms rather than as straighforward yes/no questions.

I sure wish I could be around when they discover how fickle fate can be for those who assume too much.
