Pretty good game. Carolina kind of fell apart for a bit, and I had visions of the Jamison/Carter team a few years ago - unbelievable horses, but they just fell apart in the second half. Nice that Williams got his win, and that the 'Heels have the most recent trophy (vs. Duke). But it really shouldn't have been that close; Carolina's much much more talented than Illinois.
There's not much to be done when a team shoots nothing but threes and gets hot. Illinois was bound to make a run, and I was impressed that UNC didn't really fall apart when the game was tied.
With the three point line so close, talent just isn't as important.

I gradiated from U of Illinois ('78), but I didn't watch the game. I don't really enjoy basketball. The whole homo-erotic thing that turns so many people on is just lost on me.
