I read the article earlier this morning. All I can think is that I hope it isn't true. I wish I could believe it wasn't.
It is very easy to get normal people to commit torture and things like this. Convince them that they are 'special' and they are working for a higher purpose and you've got your killer.
That is why Bush stresses the "fighting for freedom" aspect with the troops. They need to feel they are fighting for something important.
