Somewhere on these internets, I read that senators have heard little from people who oppose Gitmo and US-sanctioned abusive treatment. And apropos of Weiner's comment, what's the next line? "And I did not speak out." Maybe I should start a letter-writing blog. I'm already doing some of this stuff anyway.

There are so many letters to write and so little time. I know that letters are more effective, but I feel that I only have enough energy to sign petitions.

I propose that Jeanne's Open Letter to Senator Durbin at Body and Soul should be turned into a petition.
