Re: A thousand thanks to that noble Savage

Frist!

(Which is to say, let's have a definition for that term in mind if he decides to run. Something about taking kittens from the shelter and then dissecting them, probably.)

Is that something a "Frist responder" does?

at a "Frist post", no less...

'Specially since "Frist" sounds like "Fisk." Hard to pick an action for that verb, though.

I can't stop thinking about "frothy fecahl mixchah" now. Hell. Hoist by my own petard.

Please, it's not to my credit that the Republican caucus is a celebration of sloppy anal sex.

SB and the Score Bard, separated at birth? (See, e.g. this and this). He used to do cleverer ones in comment threads at Baseball Primer when I was regularly reading that a number of years ago. Also, his random diamond notes generator is a treasure if you've read a couple of Gammons columns.

Frist has got to be something disgusting -- not just morally disgusting, but physically disgusting -- for it to stick. Since it sounds like "Fist," how about:

"The state of flaccid distention occurring after one has engaged in fisting one's orifice."

not that fisting is physically disgusting, necessarily. I do not wish to offend fisters. I should have said: visually redolent.

I immediately associate "to frist" with some kind of horrific fisting; fisting with hedgehog quills, or some such.

14 being the reason the contention in 12 is misguided, I think. No need to paint the lily, if you know what I mean.

but it's more fun if it has to do with deviant sex and/or poopy.

What if it's a fisting that occurs during a frisking? That's pretty intrusive. In an Abner Louima sort of way.

text, I just mean that the fun is built-in; calling attention to it would just be crude.

A brief, energetic insertion of the hand into various nether cavities that thoroughly follows their twisty turns (a "rebuttal" if you will)—frisky fisk-fisting.

I like ogged's original suggestion. "Then he fristed those kittens from neck to belly, spilling their innards all over his makeshift laboratory even as they wriggled and choked out their death mewls." Baa-like snap judgement: Evocative!

would it be guilding the lilly if I were to use the phrase "guilding the lilly" as a euphamism for a certain grande fanale currently popular in the adult cinema henceforth?

"We thought we were going to liberate the Iraqi people, but we just Fristed them."

"My brother enlisted after 9/11, and now he's home and missing a leg. We haven't heard from the VA; we expected thanks and all we got was Frist."

Not quite in the same spirit, but what about defining, "Fristing" as "making authoritative statements in a position where one is not possibly in a position to know the truth of the statements," in honor of his Schiavo diagnosis.
