I thought, as mentioned in 8 and 9 above, tht you couldn't comment on old posts without manual approval. That seems to have gotten switched off somehow.

I don't understand the first question. I, for one, would read bostoniangirl's blog. Also.
The first question was prompted by my thinking, "get your own blog" sounds rather akin to "get your own job," that ogged has created in us a culture of dependency, and you, Republican-like, are trying to wean us off the crippling generosity of the oggedfare state.

Regarding the recent spam attacks, a senior Unfogged official informs me that the blog recently upgraded itself to a newer version of Movable Type, which apparently touts itself as affording a more automatic, hands-off anti-spam mechanism. You can see why the blog might have found this appealing. Indeed, thought the blog, to attain this utopia would be worth the unfortunate conflict with MT Blacklist. But the best laid plans etc. etc., and pending support from the MT crew, comment spam will be frequent, and require manual zappage.
