Yeah, I hear you. And say what you will about Saiselgy, but that young man is basically solid.

Oh, of course I support the right of any eligible voter to cast his or her ballot any way that he or she pleases. But then, I also reserve the right to declare that anyone who spoils his or her the ballot by turning the right and responsibility to vote into a "dream the impossible dream" moment is just a complete feckin' idjiot.

The missing counts though are heavily in Petersburg and Richmond, which shold be safely for Webb and Prince William and Loudon counties, where the currently reported totals are for Webb. ELLISON! The man of the hour!
ELLISON! A thumb in the eye for every xenophobic Xtian in the land!
ELLISON! Carrying the green banner of Wellstone forward into the 21st century!
ELLISON! I said "hi" to him at the Heart of the Beast Mayday Parade!
ELLISON! Now that he's elected in Minnesota's 5th district, HE'S NEVER GOING TO LEAVE!

318: I can deal with Bachmann winning, because she'll be marginalized in a Dem-majority house, and ELLISON!'s votes will cancel hers out exactly anyway. Pawlenty has been far more disastrous for Minnesota and the country. I think the Wetterling campaign's big mistake though, was in not just putting up a bunch of signs that said "BACHMANN=WISCONSIN SYNOD". If they'd done that in September they'd have picked up another 10% of the district with no problem.

All apart from today's wins, the thing that made me happiest tonight was seeing so many first-time voters -- especially young adults and new citizens -- voting in my precinct. Even though our absolute turnout was not very high (462 voters vs. 1105 registered at the beginning of the day), we did same-day registrations for 108 people! Imagine the possible gains for good candidates if there was same-day registration everywhere! All of those nuisance voters from the mega-churches are registered months in advance. We could pick up so many of the disgruntled and (literally) disenfranchised.

Nope, the governor's race hasn't been called, but the syntax seemed to suggest that it was thought that a Dem was the incumbent. I'm going to try to go to sleep and hope that I wake up to much better news than I did on on Nov. 5, 1980, the first post-election morning letdown I remember.

I see no reason why October treason should ever be forgot.

385- Yes, but at 95% reporting, I think Webb was down 12k. It's precincts, not votes, so it's hard to guess how many votes are still out there.
It goes to a recount for sure; I just heard the absentees were already counted.

409 - I just checked a few hot spots based on what knowledge I have of Virginia population centers (I worked in NoVA for four years). There's one precinct left in the heavily pro-Allen VA Beach, 4 in heavily pro-Webb Richmond, one in heavily pro-Webb Arlington, and a combined 43 in the exurban and mildly pro-Webb Loudon and Prince William Counties. This one gets decided in court.

Hey, everyone I voted for -- county, state and national -- is winning, and so is everyone I gave money. I don't believe this has ever happened before . . .

McCaskill has closed somewhat in the last 9% of precincts, but it looks not so good.

479: I just got in trouble with the missus for saying I wanted to shit in Peter Hutchinson's mouth. Something about being uncivil.

Ann Althouse: "You know, Lieberman is the only candidate I can identify with. And it's not as if I love him."

Also, I think she's wearing an inappropriately "racy" top.

An hour ago I was Becks-style but far from a computer.

Yay Dems, but fuck Joe Lieberman and fuck Harry Reid for saying that Lieberman will retain his seniority. I don't want him getting any committee chairs.

491: source? KOB has her up by about 900, 58% of precincts reporting. Which really sucks, considering the 20k democratic advantage in registration.

I am so unbelievably Becks-style, about an hour after brief Bexting (texting with Becks) and I want Chris Matthews to eat my ass on national television for having spouted his stupid-ass "the Democrats need a plan on Iraq!" bullshit. HEY GUESS WHAT the Republican Party should have had a plan on Iraq if they were so fucking hot to invade it. Also I think I should not be commenting at this point because I am fucking TRASHED.

Also, Tom DeLay/Delay/Whatthefuckever really fucking looks like he's straight out of that Primus video where dudes were made of plastic. Dude is fucking creepy. Frank Luntz is on the TV right now and he just said "Speaker Pelosi is smart," and I swear to the gods I just got a chub. Fuck to oboe I shouldn't post that.

Weird, somehow a few minutes ago CNN was showing McCaskill barely up with 74% counted, and now it's back to showing Talent up by 3 with 71% counted. Was that just a glitch?
