Re: Paul, On The Other Side

1

I'm often surprised that Powerline isn't sued for copyright infringement by the creators of the Three Stooges.

Appropriately enough, Powerline fell prey to Rampant Capitalism.

On second thought, I'm surprised Paul admitted it. Why let the truth interrupt a good two minute hate?

Did no one consider that Jamil Hussein might have been behind the hacking?

I wonder whether it wasn't even more of an "inside job" and Paul tried to diffuse the situation. These are the Rathergate guys, right?

But that sounds a little paranoid.

Weaseling out of things is important to learn. It's what separates us from the animals... except the weasel.

"Pitfall #8" is just an attribution. I intended it literally, as in, these Rathergate guys seem to be more weasels.

SP: isn't Three Stooges public domain by now? Or did that whole Walt Disney thing a few years back encompass slapstick as well?

18- This site makes it sound like they're not- they included lots of ® signs. According to Wikipedia, there are four shorts and a pilot that the owners accidentally let into the public domain, but most of their stuff seems to still be under copyright. So Powerline could avoid infringement by claiming they're just copying the public domain shorts.

Actually, if you peruse the SITE Institute, MEMRI and the Counterterrorism blog, you can read all about how captured intelligence indicates that the warbloggers are al-Qaeda's number-one target these days.

Alameida even named me, I believe.

It would be awesome if there were a journal called Threat Analysis that would publish very short, pithy notes about threats, or threats to counterexample people.
