There's nothing wrong with this. It will generate the public willingness to reverse the silly recall statute, and maybe to step back from the prop / initiative process.

I'm not sure what I think of that argument. It would be as if, should Bush be severely punished for his statements in the lead-up to war, we were to say "see, the system works." Thus ignoring the fact that a war has been fought, people have died, the Presidency has been diminished, etc. In the case of the recall, the presumption of stability that governments have in the US would be diminished, the budget process would be even more of a joke, with consequent chaos in social services, again, etc. It's not the end of the world, but I don't know if there's nothing wrong with it.
