Wouldn't the "Under New Management" ploy work better if they didn't let the NYT write about it?

It probably helps the the NYT says that the FBI has cleared the father of involvement. Poor man.

It's practically a commonplace now that the young Islamist "homegrown" radical is from a family that's more or less succeeded, but jesus how strange that the son is becoming a radical intent on attacking a military base as his dad is cheerfully sponsoring military softball teams.

"intent on"? You have to question the seriousness of this intent. From what I have heard of the plot, it sounds like a ghastly testament to their successful assimilation to Hollywood culture: it was just Rambo-in-reverse -- "Let's [totally] storm the base armed with lots of guns and kill all the evil guys"

I didn't say it was a good plan, but it seems to be more than just idle chatter. But we'll see.

Don't all those fundie types believe in the sins of the fathers being visited on the sons? Time for some payback, bitches.

The same with the Sixties radicals.

"My beloved Tania Mohammad,
We carry your gun deep within our hearts
For no better reason than our lives have no meaning
And we want to be on television."
