I keep thinking I have a conflict this weekend, but I can't remember what it is. It's not Memorial Day, is it?

I'm going to be out of town this weekend, but I should be around for the memorial day one.

My understanding is that he is expected to bring at least one large waterfowl with him, if he can get it through airport security, so we're going to want a bar that serves shrimp.

Every time I think I understand this place, someone throws out a new one.

Have fun, guys.

I'll be in Newark for about 17 hours on Tuesday of next week, with no availability for drinks.

Just thought I'd share, 'cuz that's as close as I've come to making it to one of these legendary NYC meetups.

Tuesday? Why no availability dude? Newark is right next-door to me.

People stuck in DC this weekend but having a little free time can go to the dragonboat festival. And root for the hometeam. (The NYC race is in August)

Clownae--the 17 hours starts at midnight. I fly out at 5:30 p.m. Otherwise, a jazz club sounds like fun. This new job is going to have me travelling more--hopefully other trips with more leisurely itineraries are to come.

I will be in Princeton from Wednesday evening to Sunday, but in New York on Thursday (free in the afternoon) and possibly Saturday. So Saturday evening early would be possible.

Thank you, Lizardbreath. Saturday would be best, a place of your choosing (Manhattan, I assume).

16 Norweb, actually I will be in Princeton too on Friday (daughter's graduation and originally my home town). Meet at Winberries?

might be possible, yes. I've never been there (Princeton), let alone winberries. What is it?

And, apropos nothing, what we should all buy to celebrate the death of Jerry Falwell: it shows the true greatness of American civilisation.

18 Winberries is a popular corner bar on Nassau Square, the center of town across from the Univ.

This is just a guess, but typing her credit card number into the little box on the site is what most people would do.

They are fetching, aren't they.

Obviously she'd do less for a Tshirt than for shoes.

Or would she? My shoe-salesman/geologist brother said that women's shoes are cheap junk, whereas this is one expensive Tshirt..

AWB, the one with forked tongue sayeth that I should work this one out with you. Perhaps Friday or Saturday, picketh a time and place of your choosing (in Manhattan presumably).

Saturday would work for me, as I have a department thing to go to Friday. Any particular Manhattan locale? Left to my own devises, I'd probably choose something LES, but I know that's not convenient for everyone.

Hmmm, LES?
Lake effect snow
LAN Extension Service
Large eddy simulation
Launch Escape System
Leave and Earnings Statement
Locally Enhanced Sampling
Lower esophageal sphincter
Louisiana Engineering Society
Logistics Execution System
>Lower East Side

Ahh, OK, pick a place and time and I'll be there.

does Saturday night work for people? Maybe Smith Street in Brooklyn? I'm pretty flexible though--bascially anytime but Fri. night, and I'm fine going into Manhattan.
