Re: Hey, What's Up?

I don't have anything to say on the subject of pickup lines—hey, I go to the U of C—but I do think you've got a really graceful "read more" method going on here.

Thanks. I can take no credit for it however. You can find the script here. I don't know enough about Typepad to say whether it's compatible. Scriptygoddess could probably tell you though.

But as long as you're here, I think you should think of something to say about pickup lines. An embarrassing anecdote perhaps? (second-hand is ok)

Speaking as a professional web nerd guy: assuming typepad uses the same template language as vanilla MT, the script and layout bits ought to work just fine as is.

Speaking as an amateur reader of physicist autobiographies: that Noo Yawk music executive pickup method sounds suspiciously similar to the Richard Feynman pickup method. They even cite the same ratio of slaps to tickles (as it were). And Feyman got his start in science by building a crystal radio set, on which he may have listened to music. Far too coincidental to be coincidence, if you ask me.

And last, as you may have guessed from the above, I know nothing about pickup lines.

It may be interesting to learn which bloggers and blog readers ever have used a pick-up line. So far in these comments we're 0/3. You're not also a U of C guy, are you jhp?

U of C: no, my years of high-priced education were a decade ago and 900 miles east. I did work for a couple of U of C guys when I first came to the greater Chicagoland area, though, if that counts for anything.
