OT: greetings from the waiting room at the DMV. I've been here 50 minutes, and they're still 40 customers away from my number.
I'd note how much I am appreciating the music mixes from the other thread, but I can't read the longer threads.
Mission not accomplished. Finally called, went through the whole bit -- picture taken, eye test, same address, same height and weight, then have you ever lived in North Carolina?
No, but as it turns out, I am alleged to have an unpaid NC speeding ticket from the early 90s. Therefore, Maryland will not renew my drivers license, which expires a week from Monday, unless it gets a fax from NC. Now if we'd had this discussion back in 1995 or whatever, I might well have been able to produce a cancelled check. I'm sure, though, that this in long gone, and anyway I don't have time.
