W-lfs-n, you outdo yourself.

About once a week, I look for something and after a long search, I reach the conclusion that no one, anywhere on earth, has uploaded the thing I am looking for.* Although
this happens regularly, every time I am amazed that there is information not on the internet.

* Most recent example, I wanted to show the students in my Introduction to Asian Philosophy class a good video of a yajna ceremony. I found a couple cell phone videos on youtube, but nothing that really showed the workings of the ceremony.

It is said that you can hear the howl of the heebitalia-geebitalia on a cold, clear night. That is actually a popular misconception, though; it is merely the sound produced by the wind whipping through the heebitalia-geebitalia. No emotion or angst is involved.

They're the ones who do this Leonard Cohen cover.

DRC albums with "Wolves" in the title aren't metal; those without "Wolves" in the title are.

That Leonard Cohen cover is a little bit metal but also IMHO sucks. It holds out the promise of screeching guitar and rocking for far to long and then doesn't deliver. Also, on general principal, wolves should=more metal, not less metal. I am disappointed.

DRC does Townes van Zandt, a Childe ballad, and Rilke.

Wolfmangler did an adaptation of Grieg's "Åse's Death" under the title "Dirge for a Viking Asshole". How can that not be endearing?

Å is the last letter of the Norse alphabet, so norse will say "From A to Å" to mean "From A to Z".

Why don't metal bands use Å more? Maybe because it's an emo letter?

62 to 55. As for 63, since so much metal these days comes out of Scandinavia, it doesn't really make sense for the American or British bands to use fake nordic letters anymore. It's as if Haagen Dazs faced stiff competition from an newly energized Sweedish ice cream industry.
