Re: Things I've heard about your mother

Doesn't the fact that she's my mother directly contradict this statement?

Never spawns children

Has anyone heard about this Rolling Stone Article about the use of psy-ops to manipulate Senators into providing more funding for the war in Afghanistan.

I find it shocking, but not surprising.

I'm amazed they felt psy-ops was even necessary to get the Senators to do their bidding.

17: And that's following this insecure love letter by a couple of other "reporters" from a few days ago. Oh, Mr. Christie, we love you so. Don't let us down!

And then there's this AP wire "report": "Mr. Christie, you look great! Have you been working out?"

Meanwhile, the first time I saw a picture of him, I was amazed that of all the conservative purported stars, he seems to best embody the visual stereotype of the fat cat politician.

17, 20: At a recent gathering of Republican governors, Christie attracted a throng of supporters and journalists as he strode through the halls of the Hilton San Diego Bayfront Hotel like Bono at Davos.

A snippet to help people build up their immune system.

And while piling on The Times, I love *this* fucking trainwreck: "In Columbus, Conflicted Emotions on Unions". "Fact free anecdotal reporting that primarily amplifies right-wing narratives is turning the woman-in-the-Dollar Store against unions. Let us show you how!"

You know how you know your society is fucked on health care? When one of your kids calls you about their fairly benign but not "absolutely in the clear" test results for a not uncommon--but potentially serious--medical condition, and you find yourself thinking about "preexisting condition" as much the implications for their actual health. Of course, that could just be me, but in my experience with friends and family, "first deniable preexisting condition" is as much a rite of passage as christening, first words, graduation or what-have-you.

And on that cheery note; off to bed!

Your mother accepts blobs, and longs as well as ints.

Your mother peers at all IXen. Promiscuously.

Your mother can handle arbitrarily large, concurrent INSERTs.

Sonny Bono? Didn't he die in a skiing accident? But it was in California, not Switzerland? Is this some kind of tragic foreshadowing? I sure hope so.
