Re: Answering An Old Question

For a fleeting, um, second I thought the punchline would be a segue from "Oh Well" into something from Rumours mangled beyond recognition. In fact, yeah, that IS the most historically accurate performance of Renaissance lute repertoire I have seen on YouTube, and the lutenist seemed to be having fun.

When the question is "Why?", yes.isn't the most helpful answer.

Warmed over White Stripes with better drumming? Or Black Keys knock offs? What am I seeing here?

White Stripes with good drumming, or Black Keys with more energy. Either way. They do rock.

Yes, I was just being a little bitch. I enjoyed the whole thing and think they would likely be a hoot to see live.

In fact, they have a song called Stripes or Keys, and that's on their first album.

White Stripes with good drumming, or Black Keys with more energy. Either way this lot have cleaner, poppier, vocals, and more schematic lyrics. They do rock.
