Re: J&J Carcinogens Powder

What they should do is stop putting asbestos in the baby powder. Problem solved!

That's objectively anti-mesothelioma.

Every time there's a story about asbestos, I check to see if that town in Canada is still named "Asbestos." Answer: yep.

But... but... but... I mean everybody was raised on J&J Baby Powder weren't they? Why wasn't there a world wide pandemic of mesothelioma if this is true?

We never used the stuff when C was a baby. When there were problems with diaper rash, the doctor mentioned lots of stuff, but never that.

If anybody is still putting baby powder on a baby's ass, let me be the first to recommend that when you change the diaper, you just use a hair dryer (no heat at all) to dry them before putting the new diaper on. It does extend the amount of time you are vulnerable to open-air peeing, but if you have wood floors and a washing machine, it really isn't a big deal.

Anyway, I think I read somewhere that with babies (and males of all ages), the powder is less of an issue because they don't have much of a path for the powder to get internalized.

Talc is also used in blush and other make-up.

We have a few talc mines here, and there are some in Texas as well. Apparently, the talc deposits in Allamoore, way out west, are co-located with asbestos. What I wonder is whether there is, as one would expect, a high-ish incidence of asbestos related disease in talc miners.

One of our talc mines was in non-mainstream political news some this fall, over a labor dispute with the mine's foreign ownership. Gave lots of Dem politicians a chance to stand with white working people, but of course since we Dems have nothing but contempt for white working people, no such thing could possibly be newsworthy in the mainstream outlets (or for Sinclair).

6 Isn't inhalation the issue?

I'm given to understand that the butts of babies are not appealing in terms of sniffing.

Also I'm thinking people who work in talc mines are white regardless of racial affinity.

7.last: It appears to be, but back the first time the issue was around, one of the issues raised was ovarian cancer.

I suppose a person who only had very distant Native American ancestry would be a hemi-demi-seminole. (Or an octonole?)
